Who we are
The GRIT Foundation for Autism Higher Ed is a passionate non-profit organization committed to transforming the lives of autistic students by breaking down educational barriers and fostering opportunities for success. Inspired by the remarkable journeys of Cole Keating and Matthew Heaney, two current students in Syracuse University's InclusiveU program, we believe in the potential of every student to grow, achieve, and thrive. Our programs offer mentorship training, scholarships, and strategic partnerships that help students and families navigate the challenges of post-high school goal setting, higher education, and independent living. At the core of everything we do are the values of Growth, Resilience, Intention, and Teamwork, ensuring that autistic students are empowered to realize their dreams and contribute meaningfully to the world.

Commit To GRIT
Angela Duckworth, bestselling author and Professor of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania defines GRIT as perseverance and passion towards long term goals.
We believe Autistic Students are the true examples of GRIT. Their determination, courage, and perseverance redefine what it means to overcome challenges. It’s time to stop holding these students back with low expectations and start recognizing their limitless potential. Together we can advocate for a world that believes in ALL students’ strength and abilities.
